Drifting Grid

The classic combination of denim and wool are reinvented in Drifting Grid, transformed from apparel to timeless work of art. Each torn scrap of fabric was carefully arranged by the artist to create a composition that is at once dynamic and meditative. The entire arrangement was felted using an industrial machine to permanently affix the layers. For fans of still-life painter Giorgio Morandi, the cool, subdued palette will be a welcome refuge.

  • Studies are fiber-art compositions that serve as material exploration for Waste No More’s array of techniques and surprising visual effects. Often, they are the prototype for larger Wallworks. They are arranged by hand and industrially felted to produce one-of-kind artworks that can be framed, mounted, or hung as is. Made from remnants of reclaimed EILEEN FISHER clothing, they play with texture, color, and shape with a spirit of lively experimentation that far outsizes their intimate scale.
