Electric Blue Study

Breathtaking blues contain multitudes in this arresting study. The artist composed unassuming wool and linen remnants in a fiber-art collage and then felted them together using an industrial needle-punch machine. Through this processing, the fibers combined and took on new life and new hues as yet unseen in such vivid display.

  • Studies are fiber-art compositions that serve as material exploration for Waste No More’s array of techniques and surprising visual effects. Often, they are the prototype for larger Wallworks. They are arranged by hand and industrially felted to produce one-of-kind artworks that can be framed, mounted, or hung as is. Made from remnants of reclaimed EILEEN FISHER clothing, they play with texture, color, and shape with a spirit of lively experimentation that far outsizes their intimate scale.
