Reef Study

The aptly named Reef Study summons us to a seabed awash with algae, kelp, and seagrass. Layers of merino wool and linen create textural contrast and incredible depth in such a petite composition. From the abyss emerges color so profound it is all consuming.

  • Studies are fiber-art compositions that serve as material exploration for Waste No More’s array of techniques and surprising visual effects. Often, they are the prototype for larger Wallworks. They are arranged by hand and industrially felted to produce one-of-kind artworks that can be framed, mounted, or hung as is. Made from remnants of reclaimed EILEEN FISHER clothing, they play with texture, color, and shape with a spirit of lively experimentation that far outsizes their intimate scale.
